Контрольная работа по английскому

Economic activity in Russia is governed by various codes and other legislation, such as the Civil Code, Criminal Code and Arbitration Procedure Code-Arbitration
All disputes between Russian legal entities are settled through courts of arbitration under the Code of Arbitration, which provides that settlement of all disputes should be attempted through negotiations prior to action in a court of arbitration. This decision of a court of arbitration is legally binding, although the outcome may be appealed in the Higher Court of Arbitration.
Criminal Law.
Criminal law in the Russian Federation is based on the Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code. Russian criminal courts consist of three people - a judge and two assessors - who rule by majority. A formal jury system was introduced during the fall of 1993.
The Constitution states that all bodies of state power and People's Courts shall be elected by the entire adult population, on the bases of universal, equal and direct suffrage by secret ballot. What is more important, the right to elect is guaranteed to all citizens of RUSSIA who have reached the age of 18 irrespective of race, nationality, sex, religion, education, domicile, social origin, property status or past activity with the exception of those who are legally certified insane.

The only restriction on citizens' right to be elected is they can be elected to local organs after the age of 18, to the-Supreme organs after the age of 21. It is people's deputies who are the best representatives of their people. When elected they are to take full responsibility for their own work and the activities of the organs represented by them. If they fail to justify their elector's confidence in the manner established by law, they may be recalled at any time by the decision of a majority of their electors and in accordance with the procedure established by law.
